Christmas gifts!

It's been two months since my last post and of course I learned a lot especially when school is back after Christmas break. It doesn't mean that I haven't write any post I was just sitting around doing nothing. Actually, I am so busy that's why I didn't have time on writing another post. So you may wonder why now I have the time to write this post? It is because of a gift! Yes, it is just last week that we have our exchanging gifts.

 CHWARMs with our gifts

Here's what we have receive from our manita/manito. Mine is the blue one. THE JOURNAL! Yehey!

Yes, that journal given by that friend of mine below. That is the reason why I was able to write this post. I already now have my schedule on updating this blog and other stuffs that needs to be done is found in that little blue notebook. Made my life less messier. This blue notebook is a must in my everyday life. Thou shall not forget it to bring wherever I'll go. :)

You know what who also received my gift? That guy again in the picture above. So funny, it's like we two just exchange gifts. My gift to him was that big one. :) I hope he liked it.

Giving a gift to someone especially someone close to you is a very tiring job to do for me because I always want to make sure that gift is what the receiver really wants and is of use to him/her a lot. It'll really break my heart if the receiver doesn't want it.

Tips on shopping a gift:
1. You should allot time to do some windows shopping. A days isn't enough to shop for a gift especially to someone special.
2. Before doing some window shopping. You should have some idea on what gift you'll buy. Do you want to give something personal, handmade? Do you want it to be cheap, expensive? What's your budget?
3. Don't buy the first wonderful gift you see. Explore more shops.
4. If you're confused on what to buy. Think it over a night or day.
5. Be wise and follow your heart.

Matisyahu, my new favorite artist

The post I have before this is about a video about kindness and I love the song so much so I research about the song and the artist. His stage name is Matisyahu. He is a jewish american. He had an inspiring and interesting life, experiencing addiction on drugs in a very young age and then changed. You can read more about his life on net. After reading about his life, I looked up his songs in youtube then found a playlist of his songs so I listened it. I love his songs. I love how his songs are very meaningful and like his life inspiring. Also after listening on his songs, I learned that I really love reggae music. That is his kind of style of music. I suggest you listen to his songs especially his song, "One Day".

Here's a mix of his songs:

Kindness

Because I love this video and the background song and everything about it, I must definitely share it.
Watch it friends. There's a lot to learn in this video. Then,

Ask yourself: Have you been kind today? Make kindness your daily modus operandi and change your world.

Annie Lennox

Also, always remember:

Let us more and more insist on raising funds of love, of kindness, of understanding, of peace. Money will come if we seek first the Kingdom of God - the rest will be given.

-Mother Teresa

Milk Tea

Yesterday night was FUN. We, CHWARMs spontaneously went to a food trip. Well, we've just been to 3 eating places so I think that could be considered food trip. 1st trip is to Cozy cup where they offer milk tea. My first time to try it. I'm not really sure yet if I like it though because I'm not really a fan of teas. Though after that food trip, I researched the net what's the benefits of Milk Tea and here's what I learned.

Milk Tea, a tea with milk. It came with different flavors. I learned in my research in the net that tea is the second beverage next to water that what people mostly drink. It is very famous especially in Europe and some parts of Asia. Currently, a research has been made about milk tea by some scientist and they have found out that studies show adding milk to a tea may reduce some health benefits. It destroys antioxidants. So I think it is still better to drink your tea as what is it is. You can read more in this site, http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/09/17/really-adding-milk-to-tea-destroys-its-antioxidants/

Philippine Checkers

Currently, I'm a 4th year BSCS student in IIT. So I'm a Senior and being a Senior means only one thing. THESIS!!! We're three in a group and we decided to implement the Philippine Checkers or Dama in mobile using the Alpha-Beta pruning algorithm. In this post, I'll share to you some of the researches I have about the Philippine Checker or famously known as Dama.

Dama is an international game inspite of what the majority of Filipinos think that it is just a "tambay" or "street game" because mostly homeless, jobless or "istambay" people are the ones who you always see in playing this board game. Well, we are wrong. Internationally, it is famous in the name of Draughts. Actually, it has many versions from different countries. Also, it is only recently that Filipinos knew that the Philippine Dama came follows the Brazilian or International rule. The game uses the 8x8 board size and 12 checkers in each side. Though, the board is mirrored.

Long hair to Short Hair

Another day of regret. Why did I let another gay cut my hair? Why couldn't he follow simple instructions? Why did he have to follow what he wants? I miss my long hair. :(

From this:

To this:

Next time, I will repeat my instructions all over again.  Short hair doesn't really suit me. I'm so sad.
I put this into blog so that I'll never forget this day. This day I learned a lesson. Never trust anyone to cut your hair. You have to give them clear instructions. Of course, I'll listen to their advices since that is their profession but still the decision is still up to me.
